To create a new access control setting, navigate to the 'Access Control' tab under Settings > Schemas > (Your Schema Name) and select the 'Add Access Control' button.
This will bring up the user group selection dialog. From here you can choose to assign the access control setting to either all users or one or more specific user groups.
After selecting the user groups to assign the permissions to, the permissions can then be assigned to either the whole product, one or more attribute sets or one or more attributes. To apply the permissions to the whole product, simply select the radio button next to 'Product'.
To select an entire attribute set, first select the radio button next to 'Attributes', then select the 'toggle' button next to an attribute set title to select all of the attributes within that set. This can also be toggled off to deselect all of the attributes within a set.
To select one or more individual attributes, simply click and select the individual attributes that you wish to assign to the access control setting.
Attribute names can also be searched by using the 'Filter attributes' search box where there are a lot of attributes in the system.
Once the product or attributes have been selected, permissions can now be chosen for this group.
Where an approval permission is selected, it is necessary to select an existing approval workflow to set the permission.
