Since Release 64 in June, we have moved to a continuous integration model whereby bug fixes and new features are released once they have been approved, rather than as part of a larger release every three to four weeks.
Consequently, release notes will now be grouped by month and updated as changes are deployed.
The changes below have been released throughout July.
New Features & Improvements
Information about skipped rows now shown on import log banner (PIM-3185)
Following on from a similar change in Release 64 to support displaying skipped rows in the Logs app, the import log banner will now show information about skipped rows.
Support for updating attributes in specific scopes and locales using the v2.2 API (PIM-2827)
The v2.2 API now supports the use of scope and locale identifiers when updating attributes. For more details, see our API documentation.
Support for importing XMP metadata for JPEG files (PIM-3150)
Added support for extracting the following XMP metadata from JPEG files imported via the front-end uploader in the Media app:
- Authors Position
- Creator Work Telephone
- Creator Postal Code
- Creator Address
- Creator City
- Creator Country
- Creator Region
- Creator Work Email
- Creator Work URL
Note: A future update will add support for extracting this metadata from assets imported via feeds.
Support for exporting asset EXIF/XMP/IPTC metadata (PIM-3149)
Added support for exporting asset metadata via channels, using the new "Output EXIF/XMP/IPTC Metadata" option, available when mapping out a media set attribute.
HTTP feed using Google Sheets does not complete, reporting a 307 error (PIM-3187)
Added support for HTTP redirection in feeds which retrieve data files via the HTTP connector, to support a change to the way Google handles shared URLs for Sheets files.
Replacing certain asset types in the DAM fails silently (PIM-3208)
Fix for an issue whereby uploading a new version of an EPS or TIFF asset failed silently.
Fix for issues with "Auto sync values between locales" option on localised attributes which use data sets (PIM-2972; PIM-3239)
Updates to address console errors and unexpected behaviour when attributes which use data sets were configured to auto-sync values between locales. Auto-syncing of values across locales will now take place when importing and batch updating data, as well as when making manual updates to products.
Display issue affecting localised HTML attributes (PIM-2387)
Fix for an issue whereby the Scope/Localise popup for an HTML attribute was not rendered correctly, preventing users from selecting each field correctly.
Primary ID auto-increment issue when creating products via the API (PIM-3097)
Customers using the API to create products on schemas with auto-increment enabled may have encountered a mismatch between the actual ID of the product, and the ID returned in the API response. This has now been corrected.
Assets not uploaded when channel Media Connector configured to use Amazon S3 (PIM-3128)
Fixes for issues which meant channels configured to export assets to Amazon S3 would only upload the data file.
Note: The same S3 details must be used for both the Product Connector and the Media Connector. Updating the details in one will automatically update the details in the other. Support for convert and resize operations when exporting to Amazon S3 will follow in a future update.
