Pimberly is now offing a third user type – Power User. Before an Account Admin could set up users as either Standard, this type of user had access to the product and media tabs or Account Admin, which had unlimited access to the platform.
Pimberly understood that these access rights needed to be more flexible, giving the Account Admins the ability to define the level of access within certain features of the platform. Allowing each organisation to tailor the access controls specifically to how their team works.
By setting up Power Users within Pimberly an Account Admin can dictate what read and write access users have to each Category Tree and Dataset as well as what logs they can see.
To configure a Power User, you will either have to create a new user or edit the existing permissions to a single user or group within admin > users or groups.
Once users have been assigned to this group, jump into Category Trees within Admin. Select the Category Tree you want to edit the access control. To edit the access controls, click the drop-down in the top right corner and select permissions.
Within the pop up you can grant the Power User group the ability to read and write, read-only, or have a restricted view. This process can be repeated throughout each category tree and dataset.
Account Admins can also dictate the permissions of what logs Power Users see such as Channels, Feeds, Exports and Imports. To edit what Power Users see go into Admin > Logs and click the top right drop-down, selecting permissions. Here you can edit what logs this user group can see.
