1. Access the Import Functionality

  • Click the Import button located in the top right-hand corner of the Product Grid.
  • Drag your file into the Upload section or click Click to select the file to open a file browser.

2. Map Attributes

  • The Attribute Mapping dialog will appear.
  • Pimberly will automatically detect column headers and suggest mappings based on attribute names.
  • Review and adjust the mappings as needed to ensure accuracy.

3. Set the Import Type

  • Default Import: Import and update data for existing products and create new ones if needed.
  • Update Only: Select Only update existing products to update data for products already in Pimberly.
  • Create Only: Select Only create products that don’t exist in the system yet to import data solely for new products.

4. Adjust Attribute Display Options

  • By default, Pimberly displays attributes assigned to the first Taxonomy Node.
  • If your file includes data across multiple taxonomies or schemas:
    • Tick the Display all attribute sets box to show all attribute sets.

5. Handle Blank Values

1. If your data includes blank fields, decide how to handle them:

  • Default Behaviour: Blank values overwrite existing values in Pimberly.
  • Ignore Blank Values: Tick the Ignore Blank Values box to prevent blank fields from overwriting existing data.

6. Import Row-Per-Attribute Files (Optional)

If you’re importing a row-per-attribute file format:

  • Click Fix at the bottom centre of the dialog.
  • Adjust the import format settings as necessary.

7. Start the Import

1. Once all columns are mapped and settings are configured, click Import.
